It Figures

Not really ground-breaking news, but timely anyway.
New federal diet guidelines to emphasize calories, exerciseThe government on Wednesday urged most Americans to eat fewer calories and exercise 30 to 90 minutes a day, updating guidelines that advised people to lose weight but gave few specifics on how to do it.

30 to 90 minutes - egad, I better get cracking. I've gained 5 lbs since Thanksgiving.

I KNOW!!! Made me a little freaked out too...though I didn't hear the 90 minute thing. Add that to the research I've been doing for the school project about lipids and exercise and I can't get anything done because I feel like I need to be exercising all the time!!! Note that they didn't say anything about decreasing red meat and eating more TOFU like they REALLY should have!! I'm all for the plant based diet, though...glad they finally are saying more about that!
