Fiddler - To Life
[From the To Life scene. That's me at the far end of the table. You can see lots more photos on the Rosetown Playhouse Facebook page.]
I've been quiet lately. It's been a busy few weeks. We are nearing the end of our Fiddler on the Roof performances. Add to that some busy weeks at work as I prepare for a short business trip.
The final show is tonight. Tomorrow morning Maria and I head to the airport. Maria is flying to South Bend for time with her cousins. This will be her first flight alone. Since she's over 15 she can fly as an "unaccompanied minor" - but I'm glad I will be there as well (flying to Boston for business at about the same time), so we can go through security together, find our gates, etc. The Dude will be heading to the cabin with H & J. Shana will be home alone until Tuesday when I return.
As usual I've gone from extreme exhaustion - with it's usual promises to NEVER to another show as long as I live - to the next phase - starting to miss my fellow cast members already and looking forward to the next show. Seriously, we've talked about not performing next summer in an effort to get our summer back. When we are doing shows - as we have the last 4 years - we are busy 4 or so nights a week and there are some weekend duties. We are lucky to get to the cabin for Memorial Day and a few days around the 4th of July.
Of course - we say that every year - so wait and see.
For now, I'll make a list of all the chores I've put off and start tackling them one-by-one on my free nights and weekends.
