Farm Fun

We all went to the farm for a mid afternoon picnic to celebrate Jake’s 76th birthday, and the end of summer. No farm event is ever complete without some work. Shana's uncle Bub cut down an old dead elm, then cut it into pieces and we all hauled it over to the bonfire. The fire was welcome on this late summer day as the temperature was in the mid 60s, the sky was cloudy with a few clouds producing a little drizzle, but the sun peeked out from time to time. Several of us grabbed a chair and had our food around the fire.

After dinner and some work, Shana and I walked around with Duke. I took a few picture of the old place as the sun shone through – putting everything in its best light.
