After Saturday night's frost, with temps in the mid 20s, we decided it was harvest time yesterday. Shana and John (the younger) gathered up dozens of squash (more are stored in the garage) and a number of green tomatoes. All of the squash are "volunteers". We didn't plant any. They rode along in the compost we spread this spring. Apparently the seeds from all the squash provided by our
CSA in 2011 lived on!
Oh - I "harvested" the bananas early Saturday morning at
Rainbow.
